Is it possible to make changes to the 40 lbs Grass Fed Beef Sampler Package?

Yes, we are flexible. Contact us with your request. Depending on availability, we will substitute certain cuts with others. For example, we've had requests to include more Stew and Ground Beef in the sampler package and others want different cuts included such as Brisket.  We are not able to include more T-Bone, Porterhouse, Sirloin or Ribeye steaks. However, you can substitute any of the cuts with Brisket, Ground Beef, Stew Beef, Flank Steak, Skirt Steak, Hanger Steak and Cross-cut Shanks.   

Can I buy half a beef and have it shipped to multiple addresses?

Yes, if all the shipping addresses are within Zone 1 and 2. Just let us know how you would like to split it.    

How much packaged beef will I receive from half a beef?

If depends on the hanging weight of the animal and your cutting instructions. You can work on 65% of the hanging weight will be packaged beef. On average, the hanging weight of Half a Beef on our farm is 220 lbs. This means that you will receive approximately 143 lbs of packaged beef. 

Can you provide an example of a completed Grass Fed Beef Cutting Instructions Form?

The Custom Cutting Instruction Form and an example of a completed form can be downloaded from our site. Visit the "Grass Fed Beef links and Info" page. In order to download the forms, you need to log-in as a customer. 

How much freezer space will I need?

A rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for each 35-40 pounds of cut and packaged meat. 

How is your grass fed beef packaged?

Our beef is individually packaged and vacuum sealed in clear heavy weight plastic. This allows extended storage in the freezer. Each package has the cut and weight on the label. Individually packaged beef means that you can easily prepare only what you need. If you need 3 T-bones, take 3 packages of T-Bone out of the freezer.

How long is your grass fed beef aged?

Aging is critical to tenderness and taste. Our beef is dry aged between 14 - 21 days.
